ThinkTrain

Putting Romania on its right track forward
November 9th 2017

VENUE: Expirat Halele Carol*

Point Connections organizes the international conference ThinkTrain, on November 9th 2017, a debate about the development of the Romanian rail system, which needs new visions, political will, synchronicities with European trends and implementation capacities.

CONTEXT

The Romanian rail system needs radical changes of its functioning paradigm. Should this new vision lack, Romania will not be able to reach its sustainable development goals. The way the Romanian railways will evolve depends dramatically on a strategic vision about a modern Romania: competitive, interconnected, economically efficient, technological and citizen centered.

OBJECTIVES

ThinkTrain focuses on raising awareness about the need to reconsider the Romanian rail policies, determine and promote policies that respond to the future challenges in the rail sector and promote the voice of the industry as a change factor. Together with our guests we will challenge visions, policies and business models so that, in the end, to be able to answer a vital question: what are the necessary reforms in the rail sector able to drive Romania forward?

TO WHOM IT MAY ADDRESS

The conference addresses the relevant rail & infrastructure stakeholders
– Decision makers
– Business community (companies active in the rail and infrastructure sector, associations, consultants)
– Specialists, opinion leaders
– Mass media

From the magic carpet to Jules Verne’s hot air balloon, from the flying cars to intergalactic trains, from the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter epopee to antigravitational vehicles, from magic transportation to time machines or super technological devices, the science fiction, fantasy and reality blends nowadays into a rich universe of possibilities.
