It’s time for a sustainable healthcare system (2011)
Challenge: The lack of a real reform in the healthcare system generated large arrears in the pharmaceutical sector and excessive extension of reimbursement terms. The crisis spreaded over the health chain.

Regulations for day labourers in advertising (2010 – 2011)
Challenge: IAA Romania was heavily affected by the lack of clear, unitary regulations regarding temporary work contracts. The nature of its activities made it impossible to comply with the burdening rules and regulations. The public debate on labour law reform was explosive; the minister of labour resigned, the prime-minister acted as interim head of the Ministry.
Objective: Generate a unitary, transparent and applicable legislation regarding occasional and unqualified activities in the advertising industry.
Tactics:

- risks associated with their elimination at the macro and economic level

- The law was positively endorsed by the Labour Committee in Parliament even though was not announced on the agenda
- Positive impact on the state budget and on the reduction of black-market labour

Itsy Bitsy radio: from local to national (2009)
Challenge: In a period when the radio specter is busier than ever, Itsy Bitsy Radio, that used to broadcast only in 6 cities in Romania, had as an objective the enlargement of their coverage nation broad
Objective: Release of frequencies from the National Authority for Communication Settlement (ANRC) and winning the contest of licenses from the National Council for Audiovisual (CNA)
Tactics:
- Press meetings with interviews and articles for 6 months (April-September)
- Presentation and statement document of Itsy Bitsy in order to sustain the release of frequencies by the National Authority for Communication and Settlement (ANRC), the document being presented both to the Authority and to the members of the National Council for Audiovisual (CNA)
- After the release of the frequencies there has been elaborated a comprehensive document presenting Itsy Bitsy in two stages:
- (1) the benefits of a children radio
- (2) larger document presenting Itsy Bitsy
- One to one meetings with every member of the National Council for Audiovisual (CNA)
- The two main characters, Itsy and Bitsy, professional actors and academic professors at the University for Theatre and Film, prepared a creative presentation at the contest for licenses from CNA, acting their role adapted to the environment and managed to catch the attention and finally gain the admiration of the jury
Achievements: Itsy Bitsy obtained in contest 9 of the 13 licenses released by the National Council for Audiovisual, expanding the broadcast with 70% and turning from local to national.

Sensiblu "Independent of diabetes" (2006)
Objective: Raise awareness on the risks associated with diabetes and support and complement the national health programs.
Tactics:
- Wide campaign organized as a caravan aimed at measuring, for free, blood glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure in public places and public institutions
- A medical team has been deployed in the Parliament of Romania to perform blood glucose and cholesterol tests for senators and deputies
- Specialists in diabetes and nutrition diseases were invited to deliver short presentations on diabetes to those participating in the caravan
- Website development: www.desprediabet.ro - specially created by Sensiblu for all those directly or indirectly affected by diabetes, in support of their need for information about the disease and about how it should be monitored
- Publishing the book "Diabetes mellitus - Practical Guide” by prof dr Maria Mota, distributed for free in pharmacies
- Symbolic run "Independent of Diabetes" organized in the largest Bucharest park
Achievements:
- Over 15.000 people were tested in 10 Romanian cities
- About 20% of those tested were guided to the general practitioners for detailed investigations, being diagnosed with high blood glucose values or cholesterol
- 30 000 copies of the book have been distributed in pharmacies, for free, to those suffering from diabetes
- Dozens of Bucharest inhabitants of all ages (from 10 y.o. to 68 y.o.) participated in the symbolic run "Independent of Diabetes"
- Wide media coverage with excellent EAV

Opening of the LPG market in Romania (1998-2003)
Challenge: In 1998, the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry was at the beginning, and the main players in the petroleum field were interested in the expansion of the LPG market in Romania.
Objective: Raise awareness on LPG as car fuel, and promotion of the relevant legislation.
Tactics:
- Establishment and full management of the Romanian Association of LPG
- In-depth research on the European models (especially the Italian one, which was the most developed LPG market) regarding the LPG use as a fuel
- Identification of the regulations package needed for the LPG use as fuel
- Meeting programme with all the key decision makers: Fire Brigade, State Inspection for Under Pressure Recipients and Lifting Installation, Ministry of Industries, key players in the sector, the relevant business and industry associations
- Organizing visits of Romanian officials in Italy to the Italian Fire Brigade and LPG business operators
- Attendance to the European and International LPG conferences
Achievements: The Romanian LPG market was appropriately regulated and the LPG fuel was introduced to Romania

Positioning of major electricity producer within the context of Romania’s market liberalization (1999-2000)
Challenge: In 1999, The Romanian Government decided on the liberalization of the electric energy market and announced the intention for the privatization of power plants. The client, former power producer state monopoly in one of the EU member states, was in a period of a worldwide expansion and decided to investigate the possibility of investment in Romania.
Objective: Positioning of the client as a major potential investor in electric energy and creating opportunities of due diligences to all attractive power plants.
Tactics:
- In-depth research on the Romanian legal aspects of energy sector privatization perspectives
- Meeting programmes with all key decision makers in the energy sector: CONEL (the monopoly national company at that time), Ministry of Industries, the Energy Regulatory Agency
- Organizing visits of Romanian officials at the client’s power plants abroad, arranging, organizing and managing due diligences visits to the largest power plants in Romania (Turceni, Rovinari, Deva, Oltchim)
- Addressing most important regulatory issues to authorities
Achievements: Although due to the international context of client’s investments worldwide, the company decided not to invest in Romania, they had the opportunity to analyze all the major investment opportunities.
