Drafting legislation

There are three main errors that people frequently make in drafting legislation:

  1. they try to make it sound legal
  2. they know the subject matter so well that what’s clear to them is not necessarily clear to the rest of the world
    or
  3. the bill is drafted by a group that was more concerned about coming to a consensus and finding language everyone in the group could agree on than they were with finding clear language and a well organized structure.

We had actively participated to consultations on legislation, rules and regulations, harmonization with international and EU relevant practices, regulations, policies, protocols, procedural and bureaucratic measures.

We assist our clients by drafting legislation affecting their business of the highest standard including by analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the laws, advising on the application of fundamental legislative principles to proposed legislation and testing their implementation.
